When I started photography, my main focus was on portraits and beauty/fashion. I only started to gain experience shooting weddings by assisting and second shooting about 5 or 6 years ago. Then I started shooting weddings full time, on my own, about three years ago. Of course, I still photographed beauty and portrait work on the side because it’s something I also love shooting and it helps simulate my creative juices. I love working on personal projects just to keep things exciting for me. So last year, when Sally from Shop for Jayu asked me to photograph her F/W ’14 Fresh Collection, I was ecstatic! It’s something different and ties in to what I used to shoot while using some of my studio lighting skills. This shoot was one of the set for the collection. It was a collaboration between the blogger, Marla of Trendstruck, Shop for Jayu’s F/W ’14 collection, and myself. The set was styled by the bloggers along with their own outfit choices, accessories provided by Shop for Jayu, and my job was to help showcase both creatively.
